Hello! I am a PhD student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department at the University of Washington. Currently, my PhD research focuses on understanding the dynamics of transient rip currents through the use of wave-resolving numerical models. However, my background ranges from mathematics to oceanography and my interests are varied and interdisciplinary. I enjoy working on projects that bring together ideas or questions from multiple science areas, like understanding the impact of fluid dynamics on biological processes or how applied mathematics techniques can be used to answer oceanographic questions.
